Gandangara lands

Gandangara lands, adjacent to Darug country, are sheltered from the early violence because the Nepean River’s poor sandstone soils are less attractive to white farmers. The Dharawal part of the river, with its rich floodplains around Camden, are very attractive to settlers like McArthur.
