The resource kit Aborigines of the Hunter Region is created for teachers and compiled for the Department of Education. It consists of 7 booklets, 10 prints with questions, 45 slides (most in colour), notes to audio visual materials and a sound cassette which features Percy Haslam speaking about the language of the local Aboriginal people. The overriding objective is to educate children of the Hunter Region (comprising many ethnic groups) and foster respect for and an understanding of local Australian people.
