During Centenary of Federation activities, the old bridge over Bardenarang Creek near Pitt Town is renamed Friendship Bridge and a sculpture of two hands clasped is unveiled as an act of understanding and in memory of the original meeting between Governor Phillip, Yarramundi and the local Aboriginal people.
