Jack of The Branch natives

Jack of The Branch natives, leads a group of Aborigines to fatally assault a “Military settler” on the Hawkesbury. He is later shot while boarding a river trader at Mangrove. He may be the “Branch Jack” who is recognised by Gov Macquarie around 1816 with a gorget (Gazette 21 April; Ford p76).
