1860c Lewis and Sarah Lewis are well known in Berowra Creek. Locals are still remininiscing a century later about an “old Charlie (German) who told his “old Biddy” (black Aboriginal wife) to “sit in the bow of the boat” so he could “look on [her] beautiful face”.
