Our history’s like a giant jigsaw puzzle: John Maynard

Professor John Maynard, of Newcastle University, speaking with Julie Janson, describes the challenges of piecing together Aboriginal history. He believes that leaving out Aboriginal people was part of the dispossession and a way of covering up the horror. He also goes on to describe how Aboriginal people in the 1920s began to fight to reclaim rights, partly inspired by the African American movements of these times.
