When my Father was three, he was living in Redfern: Pat Eatock

Born in Brewarina in 1909, Auntie Pat Eatock’s father moved to Redfern when he was 3. His mother, Lucy later worked as the hotel cook in Bowral and several of the children were farmed out. Then the family moved to Balmain, then home to the poorest people, where the boys worked in the Bennelong Power Station and the White Bay Power Station. Her father worked on the Harbour Bridge.
