Members of the AECG Discuss what cultural heritage they want for their grandchildren
Lois Birk, Julie Hendicott, Caroline Glass-Pattison, Bruce Lowrie, Julie Janson and Susan Lowrie discuss their histories and what they feel is important for the next generations to know from their heritage. They cover the power of individual’s stories, knowledge from past generations, relating to cultural heritage, what pain and suffering many endured, particularly through fallout from the stolen generations, [also government policy] and ensuring it never happens again, and to be proud of their identity and stand up for themselves and others, and for what is right.
