Cootamundra Girls' Home

In 1911 the Cootamundra Girls' Home was opened. Many Sydney Koori girls removed from their families were sent here. It was strict and overcrowded. The girls were taught reading, writing and arithmetic, and domestic duties like ironing, laundry and cooking.
