Margaret Reed's story: Neil Sainsbury

Uncle Neil Sainsbury tells the story of his great, great grandmother, Margaret (Peggy) Reed. Born in 1813 in Parramatta, Margaret Reed was taken from her family at the age of 7 and put in the Native Institute where she was trained to be a servant. As a result of these connections she later married a “good” convict, Johnathon Goldspink, a blacksmith and moved around NSW.
