We lost it once, we don't want to lose it again: Gordon Morton

Uncle Gordon Morton is fourth generation Darug, with strong links to the Stubbings and Locke families. The Locke land, on The Richmond Rd, was resumed by the Aborigines Welfare Board. Uncle Gordon, among others, is trying to reclaim the site under heritage laws along with the Native Institute site on the Rooty Hill Rd. He also works as an archaeologist with other Darug people carrying out site surveys on land planned for development.
