Auntie Janny Ely and Auntie Judy Chester describe how after only one month of living at Green Valley a petition went around demanding Aboriginal people leave as they might “devalue” local real estate. Nevertheless some of the neighbours were good, could see they were quality people. They were not made to leave and the girls had many friends amongst the migrant children.
