The Land Council sells some land: Janny Ely and Judy Chester

Aunties Janny Ely and Judy Chester express their frustration and disappointment with their land council. When they started the land council the ethos was, as stated by Kevin Cook, not about ownership, but being custodians and protecting the land and sites. Under Premier Greiner, the NSW Land Rights Act was changed and some people got “greedy”, land was sold. Angry, Janny left. Judy pays tribute to the “good people” like Auntie Isobel Flick, Old Joe Anderson, Jacko and Nan Campbell, who fought “for the rights of their people.”
